It is nearly time for more mouth-watering Champions League drama.
This week sees the conclusion of the 2025-26 quarter-final ties, with the second legs played across Tuesday and Wednesday.
PSG and Atletico Madrid are each in strong positions with 2-0 advantages over Liverpool and Barcelona, while Arsenal and Bayern Munich boast one-goal leads over Sporting Lisbon and Real Madrid.
We cannot wait for the second-leg action to get started, and here are our sports betting picks for the midweek action based on the latest Champions League odds.
*All odds are subject to change
Liverpool vs Paris Saint-Germain: Anytime goalscorer – Khvicha Kvaratskhelia @ 2.90
In case you were unaware, Kvaratskhelia is in ridiculous form within the Champions League arena. The Georgian star has scored eight goals on the European stage this season, five of them coming in the previous four appearances. Kvaratskhelia’s goal last week at the Parc des Princes was a work of art, and the Anfield second leg is set up perfectly for a player with his skill-set. Liverpool need to chase the game, which should leave space on the counter for Kvaratskhelia to exploit. Another goal looks firmly on the cards.
Barcelona to beat Atletico Madrid @ 1.77
Atletico’s victory last week was a bit of a shock, and aided by the first-half red card collected by Pau Cubarsi – which was the correct decision. But Diego Simeone and his team will know the job is far from complete, as Barcelona are capable of blowing away any side in any stadium. With Lamine Yamal in splendid form, the Catalans have an epic comeback in the locker, and also beat Atletico 2-1 at the Wanda Metropolitano less than two weeks ago. So backing Barca to win the match feels like the smart play here, but whether it will be enough to secure a spot in the semis is another matter entirely.
Arsenal vs Sporting Lisbon: Both teams to score – Yes @ 1.90
At the start of the season, only a fool would bet on Arsenal’s defence conceding a goal. But with pressure taking its toll in recent weeks, Mikel Arteta’s men look capable of slipping up at any given moment. And with the likes of Luis Suarez, Pedro Goncalves and Trincao, Sporting have the attacking weapons to inflict more pain on the Gunners’ wounded soldiers. The 2-1 home defeat to Bournemouth on the weekend should be a real wake-up call for Arsenal, and we still expect them to progress to the semis. But the chances are it won’t be as easy as the nervous supporters would hope.
Bayern Munich vs Real Madrid: Anytime goalscorer – Harry Kane @ 1.61
It is rare a Bayern match at the iconic Allianz Arena goes by without Kane getting on the scoresheet. And the England captain netted a brilliant goal in last week’s 2-1 win at the Bernabeu, taking him to 11 Champions League strikes for the campaign. Kane has only failed to score in three European appearances this season, two of those away from home vs Arsenal and PSG. So while the odds on offer are perhaps not the best, it is as close to risk-free as a goalscorer bet in a Champions League quarter-final can get.
