13:55 | Munsif – WIN (TBC)

Very much a talked about horse on social media, Munsif narrowly missed out on running in the Juvenile handicap Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival, and would have been strongly fancied had he ran. As a result, you can make an educated guess that he will be in good health, and should take a bit of beating here in this maiden hurdle. He brings more potential than a lot of this field and is sure to be better than a rating of 121. There is plenty of upside to him, the only reservation is he may have a more glamorous target down the line at a big festival.

15:07 | Santo Sospir – WIN (TBC)

Jockey bookings look to tell the tale here in this novice hurdle, and with Jack Kennedy siding with Santo Sospir over Kalypso’chance, this could be a tip in itself. There is little between the Gordon Elliott runners on the figures, so it may just be as simple as siding with what Kennedy has picked. The selection receives 3lbs from his stable mate, which further enhances his credentials – and should be seen in a better light after falling short at Grade 1 level when last watched.

Of the remaining handful of runners, Timesareachanging would be moderately interesting if there was market support.

15:42 | Haveanothertry – WIN (TBC)

The mid-card maiden hurdle is a weak contest, but Haveanothertry has one of the more solid profiles and may get his head in front now he is the stables’ first string. He has produced Racing Post ratings of above 100 in all starts and his consistency could be his biggest asset in a contest littered with erratic types. The trip and the going should be fine for him and siding with the Elliott stable in a race of this nature is often a clever move. Of the dangers, Sticktothescript and Gallant George both have form in the book to be competitive, but they may be horses to catch further down the line in handicaps.

16:17 | Bridie’s Beau – EW (TBC)

This is a tentative selection, because Gavin Cromwell’s horses have struggled for the majority of the season. However, many have ran well in recent weeks and with a lot of them hitting the frame, it could be time to catch some of the better handicapped ones. Bridie’s Beau won during this quiet spell, so you can frank that form and you can put a line through the latest bomb out, as that was too bad to be true. It would be no surprise to see a big run for a decent pot.
