Next Tuesday, we will learn the names of the last four European teams to qualify for the 2026 World Cup.

After some enthralling semi-final ties on Thursday evening, just eight teams remain in contention – two of them being Sweden and Poland.

The two European nations will do battle at the Friends Arena in Solana with a ticket to football’s biggest stage firmly on the line.

It does not come much bigger than this!

Check out our full preview for Sweden vs Poland below, and we have picked out some more sports betting tips based on the latest football odds.

Sweden vs Poland Preview

Sweden’s performances in Group B of the UEFA World Cup Qualifiers were absolutely woeful – and that is being polite.

Six matches yielded zero wins, two draws and four losses, leaving them bottom of the pile.

But Graham Potter’s men secured a spot in the play-offs through previous results in the Nations League – and certainly made the most of a good slice of fortune.

The Swedes won 3-1 against Ukraine on Thursday courtesy of a hat-trick from Arsenal striker Viktor Gyokeres.

Despite having less of the possession, the Scandinavians made their chances count, and are now looking to return to the World Cup stage for the first time since 2018.

As for Poland, a 2-1 comeback victory on home soil against Albania was enough to secure a date with Sweden in Solana.

Arber Hoxha put the visitors 1-0 ahead just before the break, but second-half goals from record scorer Robert Lewandowski and Inter Milan star Piotr Zielinski eventually secured a priceless win.

This will be the 29th meeting between these nations across all competitions – and it is a rivalry which Sweden have dominated.

The Swedes boast a record of 15 wins, while Poland have only tallied nine.

Although, one of those nine triumphs was in the last clash back in March 2022, a 2-0 success secured by goals from Lewandowski and Zielinski.

Sweden vs Poland Betting Tips

Anytime goalscorer – Viktor Gyokeres @ 2.30

In our last match preview, which was focused on Czech Republic vs the Republic of Ireland, we tipped two strikers to score (Patrick Schick & Troy Parrott) – and both selections came in! So we are going down a similar route here, first backing hat-trick hero Gyokeres, who has 16 goals across all competitions for Arsenal this season – and 18 in just 31 appearances for Sweden. Not bad, Viktor!

Anytime goalscorer – Robert Lewandowski @ 2.60

And when it comes to Poland goal-getters, there has never been a better candidate than Lewandowski. The nation’s record scorer was on target again in the crucial win over Albania, and four of his 89 international strikes have come in the last five games. Also with 16 goals in club competitions with Barcelona this season, the veteran striker can put the hosts’ defence to the sword.
